NRG did not invent the steering wheel quick release kit. The technology was developed for use in professional circuit racing by racing engineers. NRG was the company who made the technology affordable, brought it to the masses, and made the quick release famous.
This steering wheel quick release is NRG's original quick release design. It uses NRG's locking ball bearing design to connect its two detachable sections, along with a locking button on the side for added safety. In combination with an aftermarket steering wheel adapter (hub) and aftermarket steering wheel, it allows you to be able to remove your steering wheel for security purposes or for added cabin space when entering or exiting the vehicle.
For use only with 6 bolt steering wheels and adapters.
